Do you think any of the Batman series in comics has came close to the greatness that is Nolan's Trilogy in all aspects? If there are, name them and explain why

Nolan Trilogy gets alot of its material from the comics. Very similar, so its tough to say. But I don't think the nolan trilogy comes close to any of the best classic batman comics i've read.

Dark Knight Rises compared to Dark Knight Returns goes hilariously in favor to Dark Knight Returns. If all the other movies followed suit(and I don't know if it does or not) then Comics wins a majority.

Isn't the real question do we think that Nolan's Trilogy came anywhere close the greatness that is the Batman comics?

That is the real question, and the real answer is no, they have not.

  • Grant Morrison Batman run.
  • The Killing Joke
  • Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on a Serious Earth

Yes, the comic books are superior.

And Nolan took a great deal of material from those comics, specifically the last two (hint: Arkham Asylum has the original pencil scene).
