You're just now getting into Astro?! Come on.
Power Girl is climbing my list. Never much cared for her. World's Finest made me like her a bit so I started reading her pre 52 series and it's fun.
@pokeysteve: Powergirl's purpose is boobs.

That rack finally overwhelmed you.
Deadpool. I knew about him ever since his earliest appearances in New Mutants and X-force, but didn't follow those books really do he didn't make an impact. I never picked up Cable&Deadpool, or his other series. It wasn't until his 2008 series that I started reading. When he is at hos best he's very funny, and very clever.

That series was Deadpool at his worst. Definitely not what I'd recommend to a new reader.
I predict that my new favorite character might be Daredevil.
Need any recommendations?

I'd go with Brian Michael Bendis' Daredevil run. Got into Daredevil a few months ago, and it was an absolutely phenomenal read for a new reader of Daredevil. Made me really appreciate Matt.
@wolverine08: Thanks.
Kamala Khan as Ms. Marvel, she's already in my top 10 (shameless plug for my list I just did).
Invincible, Atom Eve, Hawkeye, Kate Bishop and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Same here. I was so apathetic about this series at first so I'm really glad that I was wrong about it.
Also, sorry for flagging your post by accident when trying to quote you :P

She's not the only one that they've grown on.
@smashbrawler: I thought it was a usually funny series, and made Deadpool a likable nutcase.

Meh, it turned Deadpool into a goddamn meme. To me, Wade is an unhinged mercenary that tries to hide his troubled nature and dark past with jokes and silly antics yet still being incredibly competent at the same time.
