NEw York comic con 2013

What will happen? im new to comic so forgive me. But is NYCC like E3 where new comics series' will be announced?

Yeah if you want to put it that way.

This is what you'll find:

• Panels, Q&As, reveals, etc. at specific events.
• Booths for individual creators, booths for companies (Capcom has a booth, etc.), comic book stores selling stuff at discount prices, sword / knife sellers, etc. (all the sword booths suck... however, I do own a sword that I bought for dirt cheap, and it is way better than it has any right to be).
• Fans. Lots a fans. And free hug people (yes, free hug people. Mostly harmless).

Check out the schedule. It's kinda like E3.

I've never gone to a com before.

When is it? Is it worth it for a day trip? Do people just stay in random hotels for the weekend?

It's highly unlikely that you will get a ticket a week before the event.

If you're from outside NY... yea, a hotel sounds good.

I'm only going for one day, can't afford the whole weekend.

I'll be going on Sunday and having the most fun I'll probably have all year. It's like Christmas as a kid all over again.
