Hey, I recently started reading comics. So far I've only read DC's New 52 stuff, mainly Batman and Batman family comics. But, I want to start reading Marvel. So what's good and where should I start.

Thanks :D

for spider-man: amazing spider-man, scarlet spider, avenging spider-man

for x-men: uncanny x-force, wolverine and the x-men

but everything is mid event and you wouldnt understand much. wait for marvel now. or just jump in now.

Thanks. I've heard good things about Uncanny X-Force. I'll definitively pick that one up.

@SocialBat: The main series of AvX is kinda nice, but it requires a little bit of knowledge beforehand, about Hope and the Phoenix Force. The battle series is also amazing, Captain America vs. Gambit was fun. Other than that, I'm mostly a DC person, so can't help you much with Marvel.. :\

Amazing Spider-Man, Uncanny X-Force, Fantastic Four and Daredevil are the suggestions I can make to you. I'd also suggest waiting until Hickman starts writing Avengers in November and pick that up. He's a terrific writer IMO and it's a good place to start reading the series.

Deadpool, requires not alot of knowledge and can jump in almost anywhere. Tons of guest apperancrs by other marvel characters so that should help you beeifly figure out which ones you do and do not like. It's what I did a few years back when I got into marvel.

Thanks everyone, you've given me great suggestions.

@DocFatalis: Just purchased The Infinity Gauntlet, I guess this is where I'm starting out.
