New 'Legends of Tomorrow' Poster Shows off the Team

The recent Arrow/Flash crossover event really felt like a nice introduction to what CW's next show, Legends of Tomorrow might be like. CW released a promo piece recently showing off the new team for this show, all ready for action.

Legends of Tomorrow comes to the CW on Thursday, January 21 at 8/7C.

That's some bad photoshop.

It's like they randomly picked names out of a hat to decide who was gonna be on this show.

I heard that there planning changing the hero lineup every season and that plans are to have Constantine join next year.

No. I'm pretty sure they meant some actor from TVD was going to be on second season of LoT. But if rumors are to be believed, there might even not be a second season of LoT.

I would prefer if they took out cold, hawkgirl, hawkman, and heatwave(I think) and use huntress, Constantine, or Katana. Of course I didn't think a show about green arrow would be good and I was wrong, so this line up could be epic.

It blows my mind how many complain about the arrowverse in every article. 90% sure none of them even watch the show (cause honestly if you dislike a series this much why would you waste your time watching 6, going on 7 seasons of it).

Atom, Firestorm, Captain Cold, Hawkgirl. To quote Peter Parker, "the rest of the world can go hang, for all I care!"

@the_stegman: It's because there's no central focus in the shot. The angle also makes the characters look like their hanging sideways and staring at the floor. Everyone is doing a different pose and all of the background colors make it look messy. If they gave us one main area to focus on, zoomed out more, and added cool stuff in the background it would be more memorable.

Let's just take all the random side characters we have compiled in Arrow and Flash over the years and put them all together in a terribly named show. Woopdiewoop.

Pretty excited for this show. I'm curious to see how Captain Cold and Heatwave are gonna factor into a group of heroes. Still kind of don't get why Rip Hunter would choose those goons lol.

Heat Wave is my only issue with this team. I like Captain Cold and they even explore the idea of him wanting to be a hero in Flash, so the idea of him being on a team of heroes, even if he's more of a anti-hero is still in-character. But I don't understand why Heat Wave is here, he's a mad man who wants to see the world burn, there's nothing about him good nor has he shown any desire to be good. Even Cold has had to put him in his place a few times due to how much of a wildcard he can be.

It just feels like the writers couldn't see Cold working well without Heat Wave, when in reality Cold could work well on his own, even in Flash as we have already seen.

If they would remove Heat Wave this team would be fine for me.

Heatwave is such a random addition. Cold I can understand, because his character is interesting, but his partner... not so much.

I agree about Heatwave being a really odd choice. Otherwise, I am really looking forward to this show, and enjoy this poster for it showing all the characters. I will say though, I'm planning to go in assuming it will be horrible, so I will hopefully be pleased if it's even mediocre.

The (poorly executed) idea of the angle of the poster is the idea that "victorious" characters are almost always shown from left to right. Worse, they've over played that idea and that characters facing down have achieved victory. It would have been a MUCH more interesting (again if better executed) idea, to me at least, if they were pointed at an angle up, in a "taking the hill" formation. Gonna give the show a try though, not gonna judge a show based on a bad PS image. I think Heat Wave is a poor choice, too.

Sigh... Still waiting to hear something Titans related, though...

How will the CGI not be...goofy? By looking at the roster, there will be powerhouses in the show, who can like do seismic shock waves or cause heavy collateral damage. (I have not watched Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. or any other shows except pilots so...)

Wait...Constantine might join? That is AMAZING news!

Also, I rather like the line up: these aren't characters you'd expect to work together, so may make for interesting plots.

The crossover show form this week was really good and set up the new show well. It's a shame the episodes aren't always that interesting.

I think they included Heatwave because Dominic Purcell is a great actor and he and Wentworth Miller work so well together. Honestly, I think the lineup in intriguing at the very least, and this looks like it could really be a top notch show.

@sachmoo: that's what I was saying there is no need for two fire base characters on the team, especially when one could provide air support, get heatwave the hell out of there. There is no need for 2 hawks on the team as well, all you need really is hawkgirl
