What would be a good New 52 Batman title to read for someone who hasn't read any Batman.

Batman #1 to current (probably the best and most important to read)

Batman Eternal #1 to current

Batman & Robin #1 to current

Batman/Superman if you want that dynamic.

Batman beyond 2.0 if you watched the show.

Batman '66 if you like the tone of the 1966 series

Detective comics #30 to current

Batman inc. althought it's the end to a long multi-year run from Grant Morrison. Only read if you're a Morrison fan.

Legends of the dark knight if you like more self contained stories.

Batman earth one is also good.

Yeah, I really wouldn't jump into that series unless you've first read Grant Morrison's run. All the rest should be pretty strait forward.

I know these aren't New 52, but if you (or if you're looking to recommend to someone else) haven't read any Batman comics, I would suggest you also pick up Batman: Year One, Long Halloween, Killing Joke, and Hush at some point.

@catsnlynne: Alot of people didn't like Detective Comics that much. I was really surprised, I thought the story was good and the new character they introduced was really good. Not as good as the proper Batman title but worth a read from the begining. Batman is one of the new 52 best titles imo.

All of Scott Snyder's Run Issues 1-38 (In my opinion this is the best Batman book out there and most important to read)

Or if you read in trades: Court of Owls, City of Owls, Death of the Family, Zero Year--Secret City, and Zero Year--Dark City

All of Pete Tomasi's Batman and Robin run: Born to Kill, Pearl, Death of the Family, Requiem for Damian, The Big Burn

If you want the Justice League too then read Geoff John's Justice League: Origin, The Villain's Journey, Throne of Atlantis, The Grid, and Forever Heroes

I did not read a lot of Detective, I started at issue 30, if you only read in trade it's called Icarus and comes out May 26th

You should definitely read his Pre-52 stories as well, many of which I consider must-reads for any Batman Fan: The Dark Knight Returns, Year One, The Long Halloween, The Killing Joke, Dark Victory and Hush off the top of my head.
