Are there any racist Superheroes in comics that either were or still are?
Name a Racist Superhero.
Real American from All Star Squadron # 40. He was a sophisticated android operated by a racist police officer, I don't know if that counts though.
There are few in the way of traditional racism, but there are LOTS of examples when you expand it to include the idea of fictional races through the comics.
Namor, for example, is very racist in that he thinks lowly of humans by nature, and believes Atlanteans are superior by virtue of birthright.
Magneto believes the same in the way of mutants vs humans.
The premise behind Avengers AI even presented Captain America as initially being racist against Artificial Life. At first it seems totally reasonable to think that human life is more valuable than a robot, but when you think about people like Vision or Jocasta deserving human rights, it suddenly becomes an issue of birthright.
Nixon.
HEY! Oh the other one...........
Earthman, costume says it all really, hates everyone in the 31st century that doesnt come from Earth.
@w0nd I think you may be thinking of Supreme Power Nighthawk there. Ultimate Nighthawk was a powerless loser who got beat up by a bunch of teenagers.
As for the question itself: I'm surprised no one's mentioned Red Skull yet.
He's not a superhero.
But yeah, that dude's just ridiculously racist.

*shrugs* Neither are half the names mentioned here, so I figured whatever.
From Jewish people to mutants...the Skull never disappoints ;)

Did you read Red Skull: Incarnate?
@comicstooge Urgh...it's on the list of books that I've been meaning to get but never got around to...

Get to it, man! I loved it!
Can you believe this twerp becomes the Red Skull?
@comicstooge Yeaah...I've really been meaning to. I've heard nothing but good things about it. Have you read Magneto Testament, also by the same author?

Yes.
hellboy is a bit racist ...
i think the writers are really racist , one that come to mind is
thor #301 to me it was one of the most outrageous things i have seen.
The writers didn't do any sort of research about the culture and drew racist images for actual hindu gods.
If that wasn't enough they openly insulted every hindu by making someone like thor beat up shiva(a real omni)
Seriously(actual mythology) SHIVA is the god who destroyed universe(all realms) just by getting angry .Opening the 3rd eye = literally end of the universe. if the other gods didn't plead with him the universe would be reborn again.Even has control of death.
Shiva>Vishnu>Krishna(incarnation of Vishnu) who has the entire universe in his mouth.Vishnu who can grow as bigger than the universe(walked the length of the universe in few steps[each step in each realm]) .
These are real gods and mythology ,majority of Indians still pray to them every day .these gods are OMNIPOTENT theory don't have feats ,
and this is how marvel showcase it
the hell is that .shiva is blue(because he drank the snakes poison of ocean something idk ) not red (face palm) shiva is thin , the third eve is always closed . His other name in Sanskrit literally means the calm one he never gets angry.
and thats not his costume at all , shiva ironically wears a ragged tiger skin(at least in the temples) .
MASSIVE Reality wrapping, shape shifting, fusing(he is part of 2 other gods) are among the ancient stories of shiva in indias 10,000+ history.
is this just heroes or we talking villain also?
Cuz Red Skull is as racist as all get out.......
and while on this topic, this is by far the most racist cover I've ever come across......
messed up stuff, this disturbed me as a kid...
Black Dynamite. Dude is a hero..and superhuman. And hates white people. He is also racially insensitive.

Some of these are different species, rather than races, so I'd say that qualifies as speciesism. I think that makes a decent amount of heroes anthropocentric. Overall a good point, though, and I tend to agree.
Magneto
Red Skull
Luke Cage
Otto Octavius
Ultimate Cap
Wolverine, to an extent
Black Panther, to an extent
Namor
Blade is essentially racist to vampires
Wolverine
How?
Magneto
Red Skull
Luke Cage
Otto Octavius
Ultimate Cap
Wolverine, to an extent
Black Panther, to an extent
Namor
Black Panther isn't racist one bit he went out of his way to beat the racist Red Skull in the Avengers for his racist shit
Wolverine
How?
A jewish racial slur
Buck really
So Colonialism was better for Africans?
@rd189: Hal isn't racist
@strongarm: that's not really racism. It's just a dislike of tokenism.
@erik: Oh my god, I need to know who this is.

Oh dear God ROFL...
But yes agreed on Red skull.. He literally is a Nazi right?
Hmm i can name a few villians that are questionable but i can't think of any heros. Possibly Batman? He's had a ton of Side kicks. All white. Also all of his Love interests.
