So, with my first Free Comic Book Day coming to a close I thought this would be the perfect time to show you guys and gals my entire comicbook collection! Iv'e been collecting them sense September 2012

Well, print trades and single issue comics. I've got a ton of digital comics and i decided to wait for those. I'll have them cataloged soon, though!

Marvel print comics!

Age of Ultron I ended up dropping due to complete and utter confusion.

Captain America I dropped because I liked the character and didn't like the story or art.

Fantastic Four, and Secret Avengers just weren't for me.

I dropped Avengers not because it was a "bad" title just mediocre, and as I've said before, I'd rather not pay 3.99 every month for mediocre.

Age of Ultron book 1
Age of Ultron book 2
Avengers #1
Avengers #2
Avengers #3
Avengers #4
Avengers #5
Avengers #6
Captain America #1
Captain America #2
Captain America #3
Captain America #4
Deadpool #8
Fantastic Four #1
Guardians of the Galaxy #0.1
Guardians of the Galaxy #1
Guardians of the Galaxy #3
Secret Avengers #1

DC print comics!

I'm pretty new to DC and and the ones I'm getting from them every month have been some of my favorites(including Batman, of course)!

However, I did drop JLA. It just didn't interest me all that much.

Oh! I'm also trying to collect Batman back issues whenever I can, I mostly pick up the ones with the coolest looking covers.

The only downside of this is that you get home, open them up, and then find out it's a two-parter and you store doesn't have the next one. (Batman #656, 666).

Thankfully, I was able to buy both parts of a Scarecrow story today along with my free comics.

Oh, yeah. JLA #1 I got a Pennsylvania flag variant and didn't notice that I hadn't gotten just the American flag till I was out of the store. :P

Aquaman #18
Aquaman #19
Batman #523
Batman #524
Batman #656
Batman #664
Batman 666
Justice League of America #1
Justice League of America #2

I also have a few trades I picked up during a sale a few weeks back.

Batman Year One
Batman Dark Knight Returns
Batman: Gotham by Gaslight

And last, but, defiantly, not least...

My first Free Comic Book Day haul!!

FUBAR: FCBD special
Infinity #1
Judge Dredd classics
Star Wars FCBD special
Superman: Last son of Krypton special edition

Enjoy!

Nice I've got like two of those, Avengers 1 and Captain America 1, but that's what you get for living in a comic book store free country!

That's funny the thing about the JLA variant.

Very cool. But you're missing Thor and FF (must have with Fantastic Four) in that Marvel collection. Really dug that Scarecrow story.

  • Year One
  • The Man Who Laughs
  • The Long Halloween
  • The Killing Joke
  • The Cult
  • A Death in the Family (not that good, but it is important)
  • Knightfall
  • Cataclysm
  • No Man's Land
  • Hush
  • Grant Morrison's run (from Batman to Batman Inc.)
  • Paul Dini's run (from 'Tec to Streets of Gotham)
  • Gotham by Gaslight
  • Year 100
  • Gotham Noir

Current Detective Comics and Batman and Robin are pretty good too, especially the former.

He already has Year One and Gotham by Gaslight. And Hush sucks. Replace them with Ego, Englehart's, O'Neil's, Alan Grant's, Milligan's and Brubaker/Rucka runs.

Get The Killing Joke,Morrison's run,Batman:Hush,Heart of Hush,Knightfall,The Man Who Laughs,The Long Halloween and O'Neil's run.

@billy_batson: I would recommend Alan Grant's run all the time (especially the stuff drawn by Breyfogle)... if it was easy to get. Ego, Englehart, O'Neil, Milligan and Brubaker/Rucka are all great, can't believe I forgot about them.

I find Hush to be... eh. It's there mostly because of Dini's run, really. No way I'm recommending Hush Returns to anyone, though.

Yeah, it's really a shame that Alan Grant's or some of the others runs haven't been fully collected. But Alan Grant's run is up on comixology if the OP doesn't mind.

Heh.

@billy_batson: @smashbrawler: @tdk_1997:

Thanks guys. I really appreciate all the recommends. :)

Out of those lists what would be the top three or four must-haves? Sadly, I'm on kind of a limited budget for comics :/

Nice collection.

@battle_forum_junkie:

Englehart's run was only 8 issues and Milligan's 14. And you can always buy them later?
