mutant powers?

I have always found mutant powers crazy like how scarlet witch's powers are always said to be like magic. Or how domino's powers don't have any reasonable explanation. please someone explain to me how they say they are mutants but don't have reasonable explanaition. i just hate it when writers give mutants powers they can't explain in anyway or aleast try too. please someone tell me.

Both Domino's and Scarlet has the birth ability to alter quantum points of space through probability. Scarlet Witch however, began practicing magic, but the source of that magic made Wanda's probability fields stronger and a much longer range.
