Poll: Most underrated ongoing comic book? (74 votes)

TMNT 15%
Scarlet Spider 22%
Green Arrow 14%
Nightwing 16%
Something else (List Below) 34%

I LOVE all these series an i believe each ones very underrated but id choose Green Arrow as the most underrated even though my favorite character is nightwing. Dont get me wrong tho i think the whole chicago story for nightwing has levitated this series beyond the clouds an into a great series. But still green arrow has my new favorite artist (andrea sorrentino) whoz god like! An jeff lemire whiz been a great writer on this title an the story has been soooooo great. Thats why i think its the mist underrated comic at the moment.

What do u think is most underrated?

Scarlet Spider

It's disgusting that Superior Spider Man outsells Scarlet Spider so much.

It was a tough choice between TMNT and Green Arrow, but I went with TMNT. Being from a relatively small publisher kind of helped.

I've heard Kyle Higgins has stepped up his game recently, but New 52 Nightwing was already selling better than its quality would suggest. In my opinion.

Bloodshot

Green Arrow only got good on 17 when the new creative team joined.

I'd say from the New 52, right from the off.

I, Vampire was the most underrated - and best comic.

Maybe not best, but I agree with everything else.

Vagabond

Like one of the best things ever drew and written

I voted TMNT because I think the new series is great and doesn't get enough press, but I also think the current Venom series is underrated.

Batman, Swamp Thing, or Phantom Stranger. Probably Batman.

I enjoyed Batman. I enjoyed I, Vampire more. I know. I'll ask one of our avid Batman fans who read both, I think...

@citizenbane What did you enjoy more, Batman or I, Vampire?

#26 Posted by blkson (785 posts) - - Show Bio

Swamp Thing or Animal Man

Scott lobdells superman. Its not terrible but its not perfect either!

#28 Posted by Hanson724 (553 posts) - - Show Bio

Sun Ken Rock

Excellent art and a story about a men slow decent into the life he didn't want

the only bad part is that it get a little ...porn- ish? at times but it's still good

Injustice gods among mortals That is going GREAT

#31 Posted by Binski (643 posts) - - Show Bio

A lot of DC dark titles I Vampire, Animal Man, Swamp Thing, Justice League Dark, Frankenstein , Constantine and more I can't rember

I voted Scarlet Spider. I think TMNT just doesn't get enough press. However, they do get a lot of admiration from the fans. I think Scarlet Spider doesn't get enough. It has been solid since the beginning and it is always one of the closes to lowest selling issue of the month on comichron dot com.

I think Scarlet Spider was such a good book that instead of promoting him more they decided to make Spider-Man "Superior." A anti-hero who is reluctant to help people, someone who has all the power but none of the responsibility. Marvel you already had that Spider Character.

Nightwing and Green Arrow stepped it up but Scarlet Spider(KAINE) has been solid since Day ONE.

I voted Scarlet Spider...but I should've picked other because East of West and Supurbia are both contenders for that title

@judasnixon: That book is highly underrated, IMO. Its soooo visually different from anything I'm reading. It's 10,000x better than Scott Lodell's Teen Titans. The first 2-3 issue are a bit of a snore, but the book starts to pick after those issues. Def an underrated book. Character dynamics are written really good too. I love it!

Invincible EASILY best comic in the world.

#38 Posted by QueenCorp15 (1021 posts) - - Show Bio

#39 Posted by judasnixon (6194 posts) - - Show Bio

@blkson: The artist and writer of Young Justice worked on this indy book called Phomogram....... Which is awesome.....

#40 Posted by viin (544 posts) - - Show Bio

Green Arrow...I almost said Nightwing but I think Green Arrows current run is great...my fav superhero comic at the moment.

#41 Posted by MaccyD (3548 posts) - - Show Bio

#43 Posted by blkson (785 posts) - - Show Bio

@judasnixon: I am aware of that, I haven't checked it out though. But I just might. That art style and visual layout is sooo nice. lol

I voted Scarlet Spider because I am absolutely loving it and so afraid it's going to get cancelled...

#46 Edited by Saren (25280 posts) - - Show Bio

@supreme_marvel: I don't even like stories about vampires and werewolves and generally mystic-related stuff (as stories about vampires and werewolves tend to be in comics), but I looked forward to I, Vampire every month, so.......it was really good. I know there were several months when I wasn't looking forward to Batman.

Lobdell's Superman.

#48 Posted by Extremis (3334 posts) - - Show Bio

Harbinger. IGN has yet to give it anything over a an 8 point something and its arguably the best comic out there.

#49 Edited by mightyrearranger (1461 posts) - - Show Bio

Bloodshot? Batwoman's been good too.

#50 Posted by MaccyD (3548 posts) - - Show Bio

@extremis: Are IGN paid by the big companies in comics as well as games?
