in Manga, we get a lot of characters identified as martial Artists who are giant monsters, Gods, Aliens, Mutants, Deamons, the list goes on

of all characters who practice Martial Arts or use techniques associated with Martial Arts, who's the most powerful?

@betatesthighlander1 Most powerful as in they could beat the other person(s) or most powerful as in they use martial arts to a degree that makes them superior to the other opponents style/skill?

@betatesthighlander1: No, I don't think so. Considering Goku already was on par with buu, and ssg seems to have beaten bills. Db always has goku getting the strongest in the end.. (Though he is surpassed by gohan from time to time)

@betatesthighlander1: I didn't follow ss, but captains from bleach, admirals/warlords from one piece, or kage/akatsuki from naruto.. no one is even close to saiyan saga goku in destructive capability..

@betatesthighlander1: I'd say kami tenchi. I'm not an expert on him, but he's literally toaa in human form, caused multidimensional quakes and destroyed 4 universes by powering up. Dark shneider is an honourable mention.. He fought the literal devil, as in, enemy of toaa at the end of manga, has infinite regenrating shields and many crazy spells. Other than that, ttgl is a huge (as in, larger than many galaxies) robot, and insanely strong from what I've heard..

Well, if you mean Martial Artist, Goku hands down. Martial Arts is literally his life, and his been doing his whole life. Competing with the best in the world and universe in other world. As a kid, he was winning world martial arts tourneys.

Most powerful manga character of them all, even big G man is like 6th most powerful. You got Omni's and Nigh's to think about. Then you have Super Saiyan God Goku, after them.

If there were to be individuals outside of manga it would be Neo, Ryu and Batman.

Has anyone here read any Martial Arts Manga that's not Dragonball?

In Dragonball Z it's mostly just energy blasting and barraging. They obviously wouldn't allow that in a Martial Arts Tournament.

That is a good point but Batman`s skill, technique and knowledge gives him the edge in place for his lack of power. But Goku definitely is close to being the greatest when it comes to manga.

History's Strongest Disciple: Kenichi. That's an awesome one. They're not powerful, but skill wise, they're losing to no one.

And Baki, from what I've heard is good. Haven't read it, though.

Fist of the north star is good.

And dragon ball used to be about martial arts till saiyan saga. I'd count kaio ken as a good one.

OKay seriously, I know I'm risking incurring the wrath of "them", but what martial arts is really in DBZ? Really? It looks like martial arts, but its just really fast punches and kicks. Even in Dragon Ball it never seemed much like it to me. I'm going to say an ACTUAL martial artist like Kenshiro from Hokuto no Ken, or Hayato Furinji from HSDK.

Goku is to manga what Superman is to comics..... I'm not sure of a lot of artists wanting to top him, just out of respect.

Goku is a Saiyan, a race of bloodlusted warriors, who was turned pure by the bump of the head as a baby - however his competitive tendencies for fighting never went away. Even in pure hand to hand, I'd say Goku would take the cake. Or maybe I'm just a jealous fanboy

Hokuto no Ken is also completely revolved around martial arts and Hokuto Shin Ken's pressure point techniques are ridiculous (as well as their other techs). So, in particular I would go with Ken, although personally I prefer Kenshiro's namesake and predecessor Kenshiro Kasumi from Souten no Ken.

Yujiro Hanma from Baki - Son of Ogre is another ridiculous character as well. Apparently set in a somewhat realistic world, Yujiro is said to be the strongest organism on the planet; in Baki's words, "even AIDS and cancer can't beat him." Yujiro also seemed sadisticly hopeful that the American government would use a nuclear weapon to try to kill him....that kind of man is just crazy town banana pants.

So my martial arts vote goes to the tenacious Saiyan. However, for the most powerful characters in manga, apparently Sailor Moon has some stupid powerful beings, although I refuse to believe so until someone ACTUALLY can break down their powers for me. I've tried looking up a wikia with their capabilities (even on this site) and haven't found ANYTHING conclusive. I'm not about to read an entire manga series just to find out their strength. I understand they derive powers from planets and such, but that doesn't explain much. Would that make Sailor Moon herself the weakest of the bunch?

Yeah, Baki the Grappler was good, I didn't like it much as a kid though (mostly because of the violence)

I'd count Iron Fist in if the OP allows comics, that guy is the bananers.
