Who is the most powerful magic user of the DC Universe?

Dr Fate presumably.

I'm going with Fate too.

Spectre is magical, isn't he? I recall Black Alice being able to steal his powers.

Shazam, Mordru, Nabu, ect. I'm not sure.

From reading JSA v2 & 3, I'd have to say it's Mordru. His feats vs. how they actually beat him was always fishy (some contrived plot-based way. He should have creamed them).

To answer you no, The Spectre went on a rampage once attacking all of DC's magic users so he's not magical, he's the soldier of God.

I'm a bit late to the game, but I feel like I should point out that Amethyst is a contender for the title also, seeing as she's another Lord of Order who held her own against Spectre, the guy who killed all the other Lords of Order (including Doctor Fate) and Shazam, and she was the one who buried Mordru for so long he developed taphophobia (though, admittedly, this was at his beginning).

Spectre is the most powerful but if we arent including him since his powers are divine, then nabu or modru

I didn't always see Spectre's powers as magical imo..

If we go by that, then the most powerful magic user in the DCU is the Presence, as Spectre serves him (never understood the concept of being backed up so whatever)..

Either way, Spectre, Presence, Michael, etc aside, I say Nabu..

It should be remembered that Zatanna can make anything happen that she can speak. Maybe not as powerful as Fate, but still quite powerful. I say its a tie.
