Children as comic book readers I'd say Spider-man. Every kid wants to be Spider-man, he's had the most successful cartoons and he isn't so violent that parents won't let their kids read about his adventures.

I'm pretty sure Power Pack was specifically geared towards young readers. I might be wrong. It could be that the whole synopsis of the book and the characters is just completely juvenile to me. I mean, they get their powers from a space horse, and they travel the universe to save their parents? From the evil Snarks?

Power Pack all the way. Kid tested, Mother approved.

I'd say Captain Marvel.  Ross' "Hope" book really shows why.

And he turns into a kid.  How much better could you be at understanding other kids?

I'd agree that Captain Marvel is probably the most kid-friendly...almost to the point of being boring.

For heroes I would have to say Superman, Nightwing, Captain Marvel, Flash, Spiderman, Power Pack, and Fantastic Four are all kid friendly.

For villains I would say any of the Flash rogues, Spidey's rogues, and Captain Marvel rogues.

People who say Superman or Spiderman are off

Spiderman has his fair share of darker tales. Marvel Knights, The Other ?

But then again anything that isn't the almighty Batman is preschool level I guess

Is where it's at
