I don't know how many of you saw the two specials on the Discovery Channel this week, but some pretty good evidence was presented that has me convinced that mermaid-like creatures do exist.
Mermaid-like creatures are real?
The Discovery Channel also did one about the existence of dragons that had me totally convinced...
...when I was in the 4th grade.
Dragons are real
comodo dragons

Pfft...I happen to own a dragon,
Bearded Dragon
@jaken7: nice
If mermaids/fishmen actually did exist, their physiology would be vastly different from what we assume. First of all, their bodies, bones etc would be much bigger than a slender beautiful maiden'sl to accommodate the large amount of water pressure in the depths of the sea.
Needless to say, they'd be ugly blob-like things.

That one's not mine though. That's a google image. Mine looks just like that though except skinnier and older, he's missing some toes, and he has a ball on the end of his tail instead of a pointed tip.
The lochness monster and fairies have photo proof and there's a documentary on zombies as well. Just because something has a documentary doesn't mean it's real.
@catfightfan: Yeah, they're called manatees. Or seals.
Yeah, they're Aqua man's people. And, they're plotting to overtake the surface world so that we will be bowing to them before the end of the year
@catfightfan: you really should be more discerning on mockumentaries.
I won't lie, I thought that was a real documentary, but the next day I figured out it was a hoax. Most of those videos looked fake to me, except for a few, and I thought the aquatic ape theory made sense. Some of what they were saying seemed legit, but you shouldn't believe everything that's on the tv screen... Yup I was fooled.
@steelofvalyria: thanks Obama.

Aquatic Ape is still a very real theory, and is the whole premise behind Snyder's The Wake comic.
It's bloody brilliant.
And no I'm not bias because Snyder's one of my favorite writers, Murphy is my favorite artist, the plot starts off near my hometown, I'm a huge fan of mythology, and sci-fi and horror are two of my favorite genres. >_>
Don't be so quick to disregard the aquatic apes. The Documentary showed ancient drawings from Egypt which showed said creatures swimming with whales and/or dolphins, just as they supposedly do today. There are also historical reports from ships reporting mermaids, including Columbus' voyage to the New World.
It is possible that the flying Sun Dragons were meant to reflect UFO's.
Aliens guy, is that you?
@kittyparker13: Zombies ARE real. And they're coming to get you.
