Poll MCU's best casting is... (63 votes)
What was the best casting done for The MCU.

There are so many it's very hard to pick just one. I wanted to pick Yondu realy bad but choose Loki.
Edward Norton was easily the best casting.
most people are going to look at this list with hindsight of all the movies they've seen. But the act of casting takes place before movies and so to judge how good a casting is, you have to look at when it was done.
RDJ was completely washed up in 2008. Hemsworth was a no body, Evans was young and charismatic but untested, Hiddleston was a no body, etc, etc, etc. Frankly, all of those castings were shoddy at best. It wasn't until later than its good, but again - that's hindsight and thus not really a good way to judge the casting at face value.
Norton was easily the best talent at the time they casted him - and one could argue he still is, He's just a tool and is insane to work with.
@ultrastarkiller: I like Rufallo way better than Norton :C
Pretty much everyone except for Karen Gillan as Nebula and Zoe Saldana as Gamora.
Why, what was your problems with them?
@fallschirmjager: Do you not see the the absurdity of your argument? Ed Norton may have been the most mainstream star at the time of his casting, but that in no way makes him the best casting choice in a role. That so many actors became stars, or in RDJ's case regained stardom, because of their roles in Marvel films, is proof that they were brilliant choices. If Norton hadn't played the Hulk, neither his career, nor anyone's perception of the Hulk, would ever have changed. When I think of Stark, I imagine RDJ. When I read Loki, I hear Hiddleston's voice. That is what matters. Anyone, anywhere, read about Bruce Banner and picture Ed Norton?

Karen Gillan was boring as tar, and Zoe Saldana just played the same character she did in Star Trek and Avatar.
I thought Karen Gillian was the best thing in Guardians, I wanted more of Nebula and it's what made me a fan of Gillian. (I despise Doctor Who)

Really? Star-Lord, Rocket Raccoon, and Groot were the best things about that movie. Nebula was one of the most cliche villains I've seen in any movie. Ever.
To me those three together resulted in comic-relief overload, great characters no doubt but by the end of the movie I had had enough of them - honestly I preferred Drax as well who I expected to be badly performed before seeing the movie. Nebula was who I gravitated towards over everyone else. Gamora was nothing but disappointment to me, I expected someone who was tortured into becoming a killing machine to be more interesting than "token team female" and by the end sadly that's all I saw her as.

I voted Norton too. He's a smaller guy and looks like a Bruce Banner to me
@marvete_e_dcnauta: Mark Ruffalo was awesome.
Someone actually voted for Johansson as Widow?!?

Most are Decent. Tom's loki isn't that great of a character IMO. He himself makes the character good and the character without wouldn't be. I Like RDJ but If I didn't know better he was the Superior Ironman before the Superior Ironman :p. Either way They both are good but I'd prefer giving my vote to a Role not so easy. That's goes to Chris Evans for embodying Captain America.
Norton is bigger than Ruffalo though lol
And RDJ for me easily. I may be growing tired of his schtick but the MCU would be nothing without him.
My boy Ed Norton. My favorite casting in a movie that basically got scrapped from the MCU even if it was better than everything before Cap 2.
oh the pain
Chris Evans easily, he's the only one who's giving constantly good performances, if we're talking about best one time performance without considering the mediocre or bad performances then RDJ without a doubt with Bridges, Norton, Hiddleston, Cooper. For supporting characters it's Howard, TLJ, Cooper and Hopkins.
