MCU Black Panther

Which level do you think BP will be at in terms of strength, speed, agility, durability etc. Comparable to cap? Above or below?

Black Panther has already shown to faster than Cap.

Faster = Stronger leg muscles = Stronger = more muscle mass = Muscle durability = Durability = BP > Cap.

He should be a clear equal being a superior in other ways for the sake of the movies

He just better be comparable to Cap at least. Or even slightly higher.

@citizensentry: Faster doesn't mean stronger. Quicksilver is faster than Colossus but he doesn't even come close to his strength.

I'm hoping he's a little weaker than Cap, but so nimble and agile Cap can't touch him.

@joshmightbe: to be fair it means he can output more energy from his legs which have a similar mass so maybe some parts of his legs are stronger (more fast twitch/explosive muscle fibres). However, i personally hope panther is faster/more agile, more durable (from suit). I want cap to be stronger and have similar striking power with cap holding the advantage due to the shield.

Wonder where Synder's Batman will fit into this.

@citizensentry: he didn't show to be faster. All that clip showed was Bucky, Cap, and BP were running at the same very fast pace, fast enough to blow by cars. For all we know Cap could catch him at the end.

BP will probably be around Caps level.

The video below clearly shows Black Panther outpacing Captain America.

@citizensentry: All I see is a gap between them but they all seem to be running at around the same very fast pace. BP could have gotten a head start to cause the gap. Like I said Cap could end up catching him at the end of that clip. Maybe Cap kicks it into a higher gear. We won't know till the movie is out.

Yea but did you see what Synder did for Ozymandias.

Plus Batman is facing Superman. He must have some serious tech.

I never said he did. There was a time people thought Ozymandias would give Cap a good fight. Even when WS came out Ozy could still give him a good fight. Movie Ozymandias is very skilled.

That's the reason I brought up Batman's tech.

@citizensentry: Zoom is not stronger than Wonder Woman, I know that doesn't really matter in that particular instance but technically speaking Zoom isn't any where near Wonder Woman's physical strength level.

BP should be smarter than Cap, faster and more skilled. Cap should be stronger and slightly more durable

@never_give_up: But its not technically a feat of strength, he's actually got relatively normal strength for a human but the velocity combined with his natural protection from it simulate the effects of super strength but its not actual physical strength from a technical standpoint.

Bodybuilders are stronger than boxers.

they will stalemate eachother if they fight. but i do think panther will be faster.

mcu bp would likely be a super skilled ninja rather than cap-like enhanced

@ironthor1: I'd say a advantage in Agility and minorly in speed but equal everywhere else. Durability too but that will be to the suit.

Does the video really show that? Too me it looks like they're even just Panther started at a different distance and both running at top speed cap won't be able to catch him.

@citizensentry: if two people run at top speeds and said top speeds are evenly matched someone like Cap won't be able to catch Panther if there was already a head start for him or a gap to begin with. They'll both stay the exact same distance from one another until another factor is played.

I predict:

Strength: Cap > Panther

Speed: Cap = Panther

Agility: Panther > Cap

Durability: Cap > Panther

Quickness (tight/technical movements as opposed to locomotion): Panther > Cap

Basically how I want T’challa to be depicted:

Fighting skills: most skilled fighter in the MCU

Physical stats: around the same as Cap’s. Except for speed and agility, that should be above Steve.

Intelligence: As smart as Tony and Bruce. Also better in warfare tactics and battle strategy.

Senses: just like wolverine’s in the Fox movies.

when did he show to be faster than cap?? we have no idea how far behind cap starts behind him in the trailer or what even is happening during it.. He will be more durable due to having cap's shield completely around his body but without the suit, there will not be a way to know before he does something... I think they will very much be on equal ground in terms of physicals tho but to be fair they have shown bucky to be at that level too and he shouldn't be...

@newecho: Bucky and Cap are near enough equals, and BP flip kicked Bucky launching him into a pile of luggage.

we don't have any context for that yet and it still didn't show bp being faster than cap... And in terms of strength, they did show bucky as being on par with cap and durability without shield could be argued too consindering he jumped off that overpass...

edit: I mis read what you said.. I thought you said they weren't near equals.... BTW cap held back in the fight against bucky so comparing one kick doesn't do it...

What does anyone think of him having powerful tech on his suit? Does it ruin him or make him better?

@ironthor1: I don't mind it as long as he isn't too overpowered

@ironthor1: Panther should have good tech and I don't mind his costume reflecting that, as long as it doesn't take away from the physicality of the character (which, based on the trailer, I don't think we have to worry about).

I don't think BP should outclass cap in everything. Otherwise why have Cap? I think they should each have clear advantages in different aspects

Strength: Cap > Panther

Speed: Cap = Panther

Skill: Panther > Cap

Durability: Cap =? Panther (Maybe Panther if he has a vibranium suit)

Tech/Weaponry: Panther > Cap

Intelligence: Panther > Cap

Tactics/Strategy: Cap > Panther
