I'd say wolverine, I really wish they hadn't cheapened him with the quadrillion copies of him but the original wolverine is pretty original. But anyway, a lot of DC fans give marvel a lot of crap saying that it is 100% rip off material, but what do you think is Marvel's best idea for a hero

Deadpool...........oh wait.

Brian Micheal Bendis. Couldn't have dreamt him up in a million years... Oh, wait! Isn't he a super villain???

#6 Posted by chalkshark (1195 posts) - - Show Bio

The Scarlet Witch, or maybe Black Bolt.

#7 Posted by ValendianKnight (296 posts) - - Show Bio

Spiderman is actually very original in a lot of respects.

#8 Posted by Blood1991 (8082 posts) - - Show Bio

Spiderman, Wolverine, Storm, etc. There are plenty on both sides that are orginals, and even if they have similar powers that doesn't make their personalities alike. She Hulk and Wonder Woman are both super strong ladies, but they couldn't be more different personality wise.

Spider-man.

Silver Surfer

DD for sure!

Spider-man was the most unique superhero when he was created, now I don't feel that he is that unique anymore...

I have to say the Hulk, all his characteristics are pretty unique.

#13 Posted by Dark_Vengeance_ (15128 posts) - - Show Bio

@Twentyfive: but then there is also dr.midnite which is also blind.

@Deadcool: Hulk is based on Dr. Jekyll and Mr.Hyde

#14 Posted by Twentyfive (2845 posts) - - Show Bio

@DarkKnightDetective: Really, darn. Probably..... Thor?

#15 Posted by Dark_Vengeance_ (15128 posts) - - Show Bio

@Twentyfive: doesn't count because Thor is part of Norse Mythology.

#16 Posted by TDK_1997 (15081 posts) - - Show Bio

Spider-Man.

#17 Posted by jhazzroucher (16504 posts) - - Show Bio

Ororo Munroe aka Storm is definitely one of the most unique, either long or mohawk hair

@DarkKnightDetective: Lol. I thought you would say that. How about.......Cable?

#20 Posted by WaveMotionCannon (5669 posts) - - Show Bio
@The_Thunderer

Silver Surfer

This.
HM. Spider Man, Scarlet Witch, and Wolverine for the era that he debuted in ( before the clones).
#21 Edited by gunmetalgrey (1275 posts) - - Show Bio

@Twentyfive: Cable is your generic muscle-bound, big-gunned, part cyborg, 90s hero. The only thing that differentiates him from the rest of his kind is his telepathic, and telekinetic abilities which a lot of other heroes had years before.

#22 Posted by Dark_Vengeance_ (15128 posts) - - Show Bio

@Twentyfive: yeah I guess, but he kind of reminds of terminator.

#23 Posted by Twentyfive (2845 posts) - - Show Bio

@gunmetalgrey: @DarkKnightDetective: Darn. I give up. What about Armor? Prodigy? Darwin?

#24 Posted by TheAcidSkull (18737 posts) - - Show Bio

spider-man or wolverine

i'd like to say hulk but even with all his personalities stan lee based hulk on Dr Jakel/Mr Hyde and Frankenstein , same way lizard was based on wolf man at first

#25 Posted by Dark_Vengeance_ (15128 posts) - - Show Bio

@Twentyfive: Darwin is like absorving man, Prodigy and Armor? beats me, even though their power are not that original I can't place them with anyone. But I still think Spidey is Marvel's most unique character.

#26 Posted by ratman19 (525 posts) - - Show Bio

spiderman used to be the most unique, until all the companies decided to create a million more teenage superhero copies of him. but spidey is still the original

#27 Posted by Twentyfive (2845 posts) - - Show Bio

@DarkKnightDetective: For his time, Spider-Man was the most unique character ever. He remains to this day, the most copied character in comics.

#28 Posted by Dark_Vengeance_ (15128 posts) - - Show Bio

@Twentyfive: exactly. kind of, I think the title for the most copied character either goes to Big Blue or Bats.

#29 Posted by fodigg (6136 posts) - - Show Bio

Rocket Racoon & Groot.

#30 Posted by Dark_Vengeance_ (15128 posts) - - Show Bio

@fodigg: can't disagree with those.

#31 Edited by TheSwordsman (1954 posts) - - Show Bio

Darwin

#32 Posted by TheAcidSkull (18737 posts) - - Show Bio

@DarkKnightDetective: well, i'd say spider-man, or wolverine , actually there are a lot of unique underrated characters

#33 Posted by Liara (421 posts) - - Show Bio

I would say Spider-man and Silver Surfer

#34 Posted by X35 (5981 posts) - - Show Bio

Straw Man

#35 Posted by TheCrowbar (4286 posts) - - Show Bio

Captain America.

#36 Posted by Deadcool (6754 posts) - - Show Bio

And also Frankenstein, so? That is unique on a superhero.

#37 Posted by Jnr6Lil (7856 posts) - - Show Bio

Daredevil

#38 Posted by cattlebattle (13376 posts) - - Show Bio

I would say Spider-Man, he was the first super hero to break type.....as far as I know

#39 Edited by The Stegman (26024 posts) - - Show Bio

Spider-Man, there has been no superhero like him before his creation, and none like him (not counting clones) since his creation.

#40 Posted by PowerHerc (85336 posts) - - Show Bio

It's the Thing.

No question. No doubt.

#41 Posted by Manwhohaseverything (2104 posts) - - Show Bio

Spider-man. I don't think that he's been copied should count against him. He was a teen hero, he had money problems, etc.... I think this can only be judged by how unique they were when they were created.

#42 Posted by Joygirl (19954 posts) - - Show Bio

Eddie Brock Venom. His melodramatic sense of lethal justice and damaged mind is delicious unique among anti-heroes. He's not all gritty and vengeance based, just crazy and killing-based with a schizophrenic conscience. Pretty rad.

bumped

#44 Posted by Dark_Moolahs (22 posts) - - Show Bio

Definitely Spider Man. How many superheroes can stick to walls and shoot webs? ONE

#45 Posted by Teerack (7441 posts) - - Show Bio

Probably spider-man. he has a pretty specificity power set and when characters are similar to him you can't really argue there not rip offs or inspired by him.

#46 Posted by YourNeighborhoodComicGeek (20443 posts) - - Show Bio

Spider-Man easily.

Online

I think he looks unique. Nobody looks like him. Not a good enough excuse though probably. Im bias.
