@cr500: Civil War isn't exactly a copy but it was clearly inspired by Kingdom Come: both start off with a nuclear disaster happening in a fight between reckless superheroes and a supervillain and then deal with the conflict between two different mindsets regarding heroism; then both have the bulding of a prison to lock a side of the heroes in and then both end with a major battle when the prisioners escape.

To be honest I don't really mind the similarities, I think both did their own thing and deserve attention for different reasons.
