The virus i something that is meant to be one of the multiverse's greats threats we should see go form wold and those who fight it.

it's great to create teams of both zombies who go from world to wold & heroes who decide to follow them

No it shouldn't

Midnight Sons should be.

In the wake of The Marvel Zombie invasion upon Earth-616 Morbius has formed a new Midnight Sons team to prevent that sort of #$%@ from happening again.

Marvel would like that, I'm certain, but it just doesn't have the staying power and works more as mini-series each with a different flavor. The Midnight Sons idea didn't stick, and they pushed that outside of the series, then tried a new cast in the Supreme zombies epic staring Jack Of Hearts and Battlestar, and it still didn't stick. So onto Christmas Carol Zombies (personally I think this was a sleeper hit). They'll keep the concept around, it sells enough, but it just doesn't draw the kind of attention to make it hold. On a side note, and repeating myself here from previously, despite the fact that I myself am a Midnight Sons fan they are a flop. So much in fact that I seem to be one of the few that knows that not only were the characters used after that Marvel Zombies volume (which is years old FYI), they were reshipped this year in a series titled Legion Of Monsters, one which even the claimed hardcore MS fans seem unaware. I'd say that's a testament to the the lack of selling power that concept has. As the old saying goes, repeating the same action with the same results is pure insanity.

No, it shouldn't have another go. Marvel Zombies was done to capitalize on the Zombie fad. It did, but then the zombie fad turned into a vampire fad, and thus we got the curse of the mutants arc for the X-Men. It lacks staying power now thanks to people are tired of the Marvel Zombies concept and they will find a new fad to capitalize on.

WHY?!!! Why must you remind me that Land drew this picture of the Midnight Sons?! T-T

I swear to god that if a new Midnight Sons book appears and Land is involved, I will be on a quest to beat people.

Marvel Zombies can't last as an ongoing series it should not be limited to different flavors. It still survives in many realities,if it were more like marvel zombies 1 and heroes who follow them through (time/space) with both rosters changing (due to Infection-Death-didn't make it in-time to the portal) i believe it would do much better there is allot to go on Zombie Galacti 45 year disappearance,Marvel Zombie Apes about to be visited by Galactus,Iron-Man Sand-Man (earth-Z) Lost their World so they chase Zombie sentry,Zombie sentry's lunch through the multiverse (and/or Brother Mutant),the fall of (earth-Z),Zombie-Sentry in AoA,Doom pre U.L.T.I.M.A.T.U.M,Why MZ1 Earth lost its zombies after 5 years or Black Panther kill's them, the new adventures of the undead Merc with a Mouth.

This gives me an image of Panther going about his business in Africa. One of the last people and heroes alive. When he senses something off. Turns to see a huge herd of Super zombies and reguluar zombies coming over and down a huge hill..

Reading that made me just wish for a Britannia Corps one-shot where the Corps erase the Zombie universe from the Multiverse. Seriously when The Fury from Earth-238 started to adapt its self to hunt down Captain Britain, Lord Mandragon destroyed the entire Earth-238 Continuum. All because that would be a threat to the Multiverse as a whole. But Super-powered Zombies hopping around like no-ones business, yeah that's fine.

The charm of this books is the fact that they are only 4 or 5 issues and you know that they would end.And after the 3rd Marvel Zombies, the stories for me got really stupid.

@X35: We'll have to agree to disagree on this one. I was ok with Land's early Ultimate work, then I just couldn't look at it without something urking me.

@TheGreyOutcastX: Don't get me wrong, his art sucks but I think in moderation like on one of those "poster covers", he's fine. He can kinda get away with the porn faces on stuff like that Jen Kale pic (which is probably my favorite piece of Land work).

But I have always found his interior work is always just uninspired and boring.

@X35: He does have his hit and misses. He did a cover of Uncanny (i believe) with Both of Psylocke's bodies where half is Kwannon and the other is Betsy's original body which I thought was incredible. But his "porn faces" is actually one of major turn offs to his style of art. But we both agree on his interior work.
