I guess I should point out that we didn't see Storm die on-panel. Manhattan-616 is going to be on Battleworld, so she might end up there, with no memory of how things are actually supposed to be.

Not to mention the fact that we don't know whether there's a magical reset button at the end of Secret Wars that restores Earth-616 and everyone on it. If there was, they sure as heck wouldn't be saying so before Secret Wars is over.

I'd like to believe them when they say that everything ends and everything dies as a result of Secret Wars, but I'm waiting to see what actually happens.

So there's no need to be so upset right now @jhazzroucher, let's just wait and see what happens!

@xwraith: Psylocke didn't make an appearance, and Nightcrawler is most likely dead.

Edit: Actually, Nightcrawler might be alive, along with Colossus, Hulk, and She-Hulk. They were in Ultimate Manhattan(part of Battleworld) during the incursion.

It's the only title where we see 616 Storm. Other comics show other versions of Storm.

well it was stated that the ones who survived were those who were in the ship. Storm wasn't in it. :(

And even if she did die, you'll still have several alternate Storms in the Secret Wars tie-in stories, and she would be resurrected after Secret Wars as well.
Keep in mind that Thor, Cap and Iron Man all "died" too earlier, is no way they will actually stay dead, so except a major reset.

Well the new Marvel is going to have She-Thor Goddess of Thunder Mistress of the Elements, as Reed put it about the scientists who choose to stay behind "she (Storm) is redundant".

I know there are a lot of alternate versions of Storm, but 616 Storm is my favorite. :(

Still, the thought that 616 Storm did not survive in that issue made me cry. It's just too painful to see a comic character that you really, really love dies. :(

@jhazzroucher: A whopping 95% of characters are dead including Miles Morales. If they legitimately killed off those characters Jonathan Hickman killed Marvel.

I'm not bothering with Secret Wars but reading that so many characters "died" just reinforces the thought I may be done with any new comics after this event is over, especially if these deaths stick and most of my favorite characters are gone.

Marvel just does stuff now.
