Marvel vs DC: Who has better artists?

Marvel has great consistent artists, but in the past year I feel that DC is kicking a lot of ass. I love Detective Comics, whatever happened to the caped crusader, Batman and Robin, Dance, Azrael, Cry for Justice, and Secret Six. My favorite has to be Batman and Robin because to me it does what comic book art should do, which is perfectly combine the art and story and use it to pull you into the book.

Usually they're contracted to one company. Alex Ross is the only guy, that I can think of, who goes back and forth, but that's because he pretty much just does covers now. "

I have to go with DC because they're comics are kickass! I still like marvel but not as much as before.

Well DC has Jim Lee, Ivan Reis and Rocafort. Those guys are untouchable.

DC by far. Manapul, Ivan Reis, Jim Lee, Jae Lee, Rocafart, Gleason, Capullo, ect. They've even got Maleev now! Hardly even a contest in my opinion

Well, it's kind of hard to pick, but now that J H Williams and Bruce Timm won't be working for DC anymore, I'd say Marvel.

DC's art teams that have been working on Batwoman & Flash win it for DC IMO.

@squares: JH Williams is still working for DC. Technically Vertigo but I still count it. He's doing the new Sandman series. Plus I would hardly count Bruce Timm for anything. When was the last time he drew interiors for a comic? Last thing I saw him do was a variant cover for Superman Unchained a few months ago.

DC. Easily. Just read Marvel Now Iron Man. Most of the characters are always laughing. What's up with that?

Just the current Batman Black and White alone series blows Marvel out of the water. DC has amazing artists: Adam Hughes, Brian Bolland, Neal Adams, Ivan Reis. Paul Pelletier, Alex Mallev, Jason Fabok, David Finch, Sean Murphy, Eddy Barrows, Rocafort, Jim Lee, Howard Porter, Rags Morales, Frank Quitely, Paquette, JG Jones, Dan Jurgens, and many others that are just amazing. No contest... DC owns!

DC has a broader scope. they have very very good to very bad. Marvels all look more similar IMO and theyre not amazing but not terrible.

I feel like Marvel has the most good art AND the most bad art. DC hangs in the middle a bit more.

Forgot to mention David Aja, Oliver Coipel, Chris Samnee, and Stuart Immonen. All great artists.

Maybe the reason is this site has a DC bias?
