Because they aren't the second most powerful. There are beings more powerful than them. Pre Retcon Beyonder is stronger, just to name one.

@thanatic: that answers your question. LT is the strongest within the marvel omniverse. beings outside that omniverse are not subject to his power and is more likely to be stronger than him.

@vitalius: Spider-Man and Hulk aren't mutants. They would be considered mutates.

Sorry i already correct that.I meant why most marvel characters werent mutants, like on DC. most characters are metahumans, magic characters or normal people that hold a weapon.

Jean Grey has only really died once in the main continuity.

@thanatic: I agree and have been saying this for years. The only beings that should be able to fight abstracts are other abstracts, and no abstract would go outside their jurisdiction to mess up the status quo. LT was literally sanctioned by the OAA to be judge of the marvel multiverse, there should be no being more powerful than him because the God of marvel decrees it. Pre retcon beyonder was a terrible idea... don't make a being more powerful than another who is suppose to be the most powerful.
