Can anyone explain why so many people think Marvel now is a reboot. I would think that the fact that everyone involved said that it was not a reboot should have tipped people off. Also, continuity was not altered.

Because marvel is smart and people are stupid basically. Marvel likes to restart it's volumes a lot not many of their books make it past 40 issues now-a-days. They say how DC had a lot of success with the New 52 so they added NOW to the end of their logo and re-banded when they started new volumes of everything, and they just knew lots of stupid people would go buy it the same way they did for the New 52, because they think it's a reboot and a great time to jump in.

People are either

A. Confused at the difference between a relaunch and a reboot

B. Comparing Marvel NOW to New 52 (which IS a reboot) and calling Marvel that too.
