The purpose of Spiderverse and many comics onwards is to reboot. A example will be in Spiderverse. Marvel killed various of Spidermen in Spiderverse & killed many cosmic beings. They are rebooting everything to fit there universe. The x-men and fantastic four won't be part of the canon universe, so would other characters. The main reason is to make money and get people to jump into comics. It makes it a lot easier. What do you think?
Marvel is a "Sweet" Rebooter?
@marvete_e_dcnauta: The entire purpose is a reboot.
What?
@antimutant001: I know, but seting the X-Men aside? Not happening.
What?
@antimutant001: It's definitely plausible; however, I don't think they'll get rid of X-Men or FF.

Could you explain what he's saying? I feel most of us didn't understand.
@bflynn316: He/She thinks Marvel is trying to streamline their universe by diminishing extraneous characters/properties in an attempt to make everything more accessible; accessibility = new readers = more money.
I do not see any reason to kill off any so said characters. Just simply do not have them in your story.
I always liked web head and the human torch. They made a good team. In each book you can have it stand alone and in team books the writer decides whom to use.
Why tie the hands of the person writing the books.
I do not mind a reboot and maybe each new writer could be said to have to reboot so he can have full creative power.
To kill off the universe makes little sense because nobody is going to use characters they do not see have a reason to be in the story they are creating anyway.
What?
I don't personally think it's heading towards a re-boot. Not only has Marvel said that it won't happen, if their purpose was to get new readers it would make no sense to discard the FF and the X-Men before a slew of new movies involving them where released. Besides, Marvel is very proud of their history. Discarding the X-men and Fantastic Four from their universe entirely is something they would never do.
