magneto = red skull

some counterparts don't match up

I don't think the MCU has a magneto counter part none of there villains are sympathetic

Just the ones I could think of.

both very menacing but at this point we know very little about their onscreen portrayals

similar complex as being not completely evil and their popularity

Wolverine = Ironman

due to popularity and the tendency to take over a film that isn't about them

Colossus = hawkeye

both have little screen time in big movies

Storm = black widow

female side characters in male heavy movies

Raven = Loki

both shape sifters and have similar arch-types

cyclop = ironman (heat visionx repulsor rays)

juggernaut = hulk (unstoppable vs the strongest)

gambit = hawkeye (projectile experts)

gean grey = vision (currently strongest on the hero team)

beast = spiderman (agility, reflexes, instinct, strenght)

They are still too different to match-up imo.
