Mako getting a new skill

Do you think Mako will get some kind of a new skill or upgrade. Heat redirection or actual lightning(The real deal with the thunder affect)?

Sorry if I should know this, but who is mako?

I think he already has lightning, he was using it at the power plant in the first season before they met korra.

Nope. He's too busy getting knocked down by everything this season.

@the_stegman: Bolin got schooled by bad writing, so...yeah.

I don't care if he develops a new skill or not. I just want to see Mako fight someone or a group of people and show us how much he's improved as a firebender in the last few years. This is a big time skip. Bolin clearly improved tremendously in that time. We've not seen if Mako has gotten better at all and it's honestly rather distressing.
