Longest time it took you to beat a game?

Just curious, Beat the original super mario bros. a week ago, took me 17 freaking years!!! , Now granted i have not been playing the game for 17 years straight but still lol, It wasn't until last week that i got serious and told myself that i would not die knowing that i never did beat this game.

Took me like 2 months to beat Jak and Daxter as a kid but that was mostly because I fu*kd around and swam around trying to kill the lurker shark.

Kingdom Hearts 2; Eight years and counting.

I took me about a year to finish yakuza 3

"Spiderman : Friend or Foe" for PSP. Took me over a year when i was a kid, because i couldn't pass the Venom level. So i was so nervous i stopped playing it. An dthen i started again and beat him. It's a funny game.

Last time I played Skyrim was a year ago. I played over 100 hours and still haven't finished the game!

By this point it is very probable that you never will.

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes took me 6 years, but i finished it

Majora's Mask. They have passed like 9 years since the last time i played it, i was never able to beat it. (F*** you Stone Tower Temple)

I started playing Ocarina of Time 3D three years ago, and I still haven't finished it. I kind of forgot about it when I picked up other games.

Took me about 5 months to beat Batman Dark Tomorrow, the game is so bad that you can't play it for much longer than 10 minutes! And the final boss (Ra's Al Ghul) is a nightmare, must have thrown my controller at least a dozen times... And all that torture, for a crappy ending where Batman dies and the world ends...

I bought this game like a year ago, I rarely play this game, but I still haven't beaten the first game, it took me forever to get to the last level, and I still haven't beaten it.

Also I haven't beaten the 1st Crash Bandicoot game yet. I rarely play these games tho.

Assassin's Creed 3 was really difficult. I gave up after a certain mission and haven't played in months.

I've been playing Dragon Age Origins for the last little while, and i keep getting killed every other battle. I suspect i'll be playing it for a long time.

Been playing Fallout New Vegas off and on for 4 years.

Took 3 months to beat GTA San Andreas when it first came out.

Took me 2 years to "finish" Skyrim, aka get bored with it.

Something like ME I get it done like 20 hours I haven't beatin Skyrim or Dark Souls 2 when I do I'll come back to this and tell you

For actual playtime, any RPGs are gonna rack up huge numbers. Most recent for me being Dragon Age: Inquisition. That one took 70 hours.

Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. I got stuck on the Biolizard and didn't beat it until a few years later.

@gokuss4z: Im on 4 right now, finished 3 last year.Are you just completing the story or trying to platinum the game?

As fot the question, I've been playing Fallout 3 since 2011, logged in 300 + hrs and i've only got one last mission (Find the super mutant base of operations and take em out), but the ps3 version is super buggy and keeps freezing. I still love me some Fallout though get moving F4 Bethesda!

@iamthecrowning: I'm on 4 too and hyped as heck for 5, yakuza 3 took me so long because I got stuck grinding levels and the weapon training on the beach lol.

@gokuss4z Lol I remember the weapons training idk if I finished it though. Looking back I feell like I rushed through 3.Im so enthralled by 4 though, the characters, their stories, how they tie into other long standing character history. Im currently playing with Tiga Saijima for the first time, just made it to Kamurochu.

Im so amped that they are bringing 5 over here next summer, I hope it sells well so we can get Zero for the ps4, I'd also like the Kenshin spin-offs, but those ain't looking too likely.Did you play Dead Souls?

Even though I love them all, minus DS, they could have kept that hot gabbage.

Took me about a couple of years on and off to complete it due to the puzzles and damn difficult controls. Still glad I beat it though.

I had a game called Alien Hominid on the PS2 which I bought on sale for really cheap in 2004 and I didn't beat it until 2007. I didn't play that game very much though which is why it took me so long to finish it.
