This is a forum to discuss lesser known comic series that deserve more recognition. If you say one, also give a reason why.
Lesser known comics that deserve more recognition?
5 years of research culminating in a 30,000+ page "bible" of historical research for the comic has made the writing absolute pristine. It absolutely engaging to read and comes off like you're hearing first witness accounts of the war.
Top that off with some of the best action you will ever see in a comic book and its gg. Uber on a monthly basis has better fights that most comics do in year.
@crom_cruach: Yeah, the entire Top Cow Trinity is great as well.
@fallschirmjager: Ich stimme, Uber ist so groß, noch so demütig erkannt!

I don't read/speak German unfortunately. I need to learn at some point. :p

yep, while Top Cow's writing has it's share of problems. It's definitively maintained a level of quality few american comics have.
Also this guy, read it now everyone!
A. Jodorowsky & Moebius's "The Incal" and all its tie-ins. Masterpiece.
A real must read for any decent comic book/sci fi fan.
(I also second Crom-Cruach for Witchblade.)
@fallschirmjager: It basically translates to 'I agree, Uber is so great , yet gets so low recognition.'
Hourman from DC. One of the last times I can think of DC putting out a comic that was just fun adventure of the sake of fun adventure. No drama or darkness.
Sounds refreshing. Might have to check that out.
Idk about Uber. The writer, Gillen, seems to have done his homework, though.
IDW's TMNT gets a fair amount if love but it is so good it needs mentioning. It is consistently a book I look forward to every month.
Aside from that I highly recommend Captain Marvel from Marvel or the 90s Spawn stuff.
The Authority, Alpha Flight, Camelot 3000, Dylan Dog, Planetary, The Crow, B.P.R.D, 100 Bullets, Preacher, Tom Strong
