Poll: Kingdom Come or Earth X? (37 votes)

Kingdom Come 84%
Earth X 11%

I've heard they are both pretty similar except for the obvious one is DC and one Marvel but which one should I buy first? Also I was told Earth X is a 3 part story can I just read Earth X? Thanks.

Me neither, but I do have Kingdom Come! Maybe I can find Earth X on ebay!

I haven't read all of Earth X but what I have I found quite dull. Kingdom Come on the other hand is amazing.

I LOVE Earth X, Universe X, and Paradise X....but...they don't compare to Kingdom Come

Never read the Earth X stuff. But Kingdom Come is something I can read countless times.

Agreed with what danhimself said 1000%. The XSeries biggest flaw was the artwork IMO. Great story and covers but the interiors fell short on delivering the whole package. Kingdom Come on the other hand was the real deal total experience. Both fantastic. Gonna actually re-read universe and paradise x now......

Kingdom Come is a masterpiece which changed the course of an industry. I would recommind it over Earth X.

@dagmar_merrill: and also Kingdom come came first Marvel just wanted to replicate what Dc and Alex Ross did with KDC.

Earth X is good, but Kingdom Come is AMAZING. Kingdom Come is one of my all-time favorite comic book stories. Earth X is an entertaining read.

If you've never read Earth X, I'd recommend not reading all three parts of the trilogy. There are definitely diminishing returns with Universe X and Paradise X.

In summation, Kingdom Come = superb, Earth X = good, Universe X = okay, Paradise X = no.

One of the best things about is that you can start from almost anywhere (I'd save the Dark Age for later).

The first mini starts with Life in the Big City trade.
