He's not had a mask yet. That's kinda a huge deal right? Since he has one of the most recognized masks in comics period. What style do you think they should go for?
Just realized this about cinematic Wolverine.
He's not had a mask yet. That's kinda a huge deal right? Since he has one of the most recognized masks in comics period. What style do you think they should go for?
No, it really isn't.
@kfabz-23: ^This. Masks hide identities, but in movies you want everyone to know the actor.
Its the reason NBA players are so much easier to market than NFL players.
If you saw CJ Spiller or Demarco Murray or Justin Houston at a bar you probably wouldn't recognize them, despite the fact that they are NFL superstars. They have to wear helmets and shoulder pads that hide their true appearances from us.
But you would recognize freaking Kris Humphries any day, a random nobody from the NBA. All sports fans know exactly what LeBron's tattoos look like, they know he wore a headband forever, they would recognize him instantly anywhere.
I truly believe the NBA will eventually overtake the NFL now that the pay is competitive. Why would our best athletes chance injury or permanent damage in football when they could dominate in basketball for 20 million guaranteed, play for 15 years, and retire with their heads straight on and a lot more personal marketing power than the NFL offers?
@roboshark: They gave him a mask at the end of the last movie.

Not really since the outline of his head is the same whenever he wears it or not thanks to his weird hairdo.
@overmonitor: Very few nfl players could be nba players even if they wanted to imo. Take a look at Antonio Gates, a guy who actually was a star bb player in college and hadn't played fb since high school, he wasn't even drafted to the nba but is a future hofer as a fb player. I'd say less than 5% of nfl players would have any chance of being nba players had they gone with bb over fb.
@spambot: Agreed, but people like Randy Moss or Terrell Owens or Calvin Johnson may be cultural mega-stars in the NBA, instead they're just really good receivers.
I mean, if Derrick Rose can become a star at 20-7-4, I believe Calvin has more athleticism and better size and reflexes and reaction speed and would be more marketable.
Who knows, it just seems like many guys could be bigger stars in the NBA, even post-career.
@overmonitor: I'm not so sure any of those guys would be big time stars in the nba. Athleticism is just one part of the equation. Plenty of super athletic guys still can't put the ball in the hoop the way a Dwyane Wade can. I don't think any of those guys would be stars in the nba just based off their athleticism. Owens is too small imo.
I don't know if Logan is gonna be in it, but in Avengers 3, if he were to be in it, he would have a suit. He is usually seen wearing a tank top, but being part of the Avengers, he might have to make himself pop out.
@overmonitor: I agree with what you are saying but living in the UK I have no idea who any of those celebrities are you just named haha.
@marvelite161: Oh cool! Where did you find that?!

The Wolverine Uncaged Edition
I wouldn't mind him just wearing a suit with a different style of the mask. I forgot his name, but the actor who plays Wolverine would look kinda off. He's usually seen being modern and nothing too flashy
A mask would be cool, not gonna lie.
The wolverine has appeared in 7 X-men movies. It's about time he finally wears a costume in Wolverine 3 to give it identity.
mask would be cool but not necessary
@jonny_anonymous: i hope so
@ryokuma100: It was in a deleted scene from The Wolverine
