Judge Dredd - Where to start?

When a character has 35+ years of history built up, where do you start as a newly interested reader? Anyone familiar with the comics/magazines got a suggestion for me?

I really liked the new movie, so I guess there's where I'm starting at in terms of knowledge

IDW Has a series only on issue 3. Try that.

I thought that was part of a bigger storyline, is it all new?

@giantstalker: I believe so, not too sure. I would say new.

I just starting reading the IDW series. I picked up the first volume of the Complete Casefiles and it has been a great read so far!
