Apparently Josh brolin is the front runner to play Batman in MoS2. They are going for a more experienced Batman. Ryan Gosling is also a top choice and then there are 4 more actors rumored for the spot
Josh Brolin rumored to play batman
I would've preferred a younger Batman. Seeing him and Supes being two inexperienced heroes and learning from each other would be cool and a change of pace from most Batman and Superman teamups where Batman is usually more experienced.

Same here. And I feel with a younger Batman, he'd be more inexperienced, so him fighting Superman wouldn't be as out of character.
But if we have to go the older Batman route, Josh Brolin would be my top choice.
Josh Brolin is an amazing actor and I'd love to see him as batman. He has everything you'd need.
Lets just forget that jonah hex ever happened and give him a clean slate...
@fallschirmjager: they are planning on shooting early 2014 so he will be cast very soon.
I want this! I hope he gets cast. Older and more experienced Bats is a good contrast to the young and greenhorn Supes. Having both of them as inexperienced is kinda redundant.
@cfrehse: They want to shoot in Spring of 2014 which is 6-8 months away.
I'd be willing to bet Batman has all ready been casted. Its going to take at least 6 months for whoever they pick to bulk up for the role anyways.
Also. I don't think Brolin is a good choice.
I still want Karl Urban...
yes KARL URBAN FTW!!!
but if they really go that way with the "old" bats, than brolin would be my first pick.

Batman was always going to be more experienced, he has to be. Even if he hasn't been operating as Batman for very long, he'll still be more experienced than Superman. Keep in mind that while Superman went on his whole walkabout thing, he didn't really learn anything. He learned how to control his powers as he got older and then in Man of Steel took them to a new level. That's it. Yeah, he's a hero now, great, but from experience standpoint, all he's learned is how to fly and punch people at Mach 4.
Bruce Wayne, in order to be Batman, he has to travel the world, actively seeking out and training under the very best masters, the most skilled fighters and detectives and criminals. Then he has to return to Gotham, set up his contacts in the criminal underworld, gather his gear and set up the Batcave. The traveling alone would take years, the set up, a few months. So even if he's only been operating as Batman for the same amount of time as Clark has been operating as Superman, he's STILL going to know how to do what he does better than Superman.
He's going to be more experienced because he doesn't just have to learn how to use powers and call it a day, he has to gather skills and abilities to get by without them.
@dbatdog: They're still screaming...
