Japan Avengers Assemble!

Apologize if someone has already posted this, but I found this article on a Japanese tokusatsu forum and...well, yeah, here's a quick summary:

It’s Avengers done with a hint of Pokemon in Marvel’s latest partnership with Toei and Bandai. A marvellous quick promotional teaser for Disk Wars: The Avengers just hit the internet giving us our first glance at what looks to be a…unique take on Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

To put the trailer in perspective: portable capturing devices known as DISKs are created to trap villains. But Loki’s latest scheme has both heroes and villains alike trapped, the disks are scattered across the world. Spiderman whom narrowly escapes capture himself gives five of these Disks to a group of youths restoring the Avengers: Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk and Wasp.

I don't mean to pre-judge but....wow. This sounds weird. Argh Japan, just stick to Super Sentai and Kamen Rider.....

Is Marvel even allowing this? O_o

A new comic is announced. You think it looks weird. You express your opinion. But you still don't have to read it either.

To be clear, I wasn't trying to bash Japan in any way (I'm a big tokusatsu fan, after all). I've just never been a big fan of the Marvel Anime adaptations, and this in itself seems like a really strange concept. Of course I know I don't have to watch it, but there's no harm in discussing an opinion. All I was trying to do here was share the news.
