There had been rumors floating around for some time that James was the favorite to helm to Jason Mamoa film, but now it has been confirmed by THR that James Wan has signed on with WB to direct Aquaman.
For those that don't know, Wan has spent most of his career in the horror genre, directing Saw, Insidious, & The Conjuring. But Wan made the transition to other genres last year (specifically blockbusters) by directing the hugely successful Furious 7.
So what do you think about this news? I'm thrilled. I think it's a great choice that will put the minds of some fans at ease.
Aquaman is due for release in 2019.
