Itachi Over estimated?

So I made a battle between Gaara and Itachi, in this Battle Gaara is the host of the one tails. People are saying that Itachi can one shot Gaara with Genjutsu even thought it stated blatantly in the manga that it wont work on someone who controls a Tailed Beast.

So my question Is Can Itachi do this, and do you think he's over estimated?

@hatemalingsia: I like Itachi has a character, but it's getting to the point where I can't stand to debate against some of his fans, they don't show any scans or feats they just say, '' Genjutsu one shot" or " Itachi is to fast".

Im really not getting his "omnipotence" thats gets said a lot

Naruto is as bad as dbz here now and in some ways worse.

@unrelenting: To be fair, IIRC post-time skip Naruto was caught in one of his genjutsu. It's tough to say he won't one shot anyone if the opponent has never shown any tp resistance before. Unless you are well versed in Naruto, I guess. Which is why I said that scan was interesting.

He is overrated quite a bit on forums, and that is coming from someone who has my avatar.

I hope people stop trolling Naruto threads, especially Itachi threads, as I love the show but I don't want to see it banned

The people who overrate him(and subsequently the people who underrate him) are usually the ones who don't know all that much about him.

It's not itactihi it's the whole of naruto which is overhyped due to the infest we have got from animevice where they all came here and argue for naruto characters vs anyone

Itachi is overrated?...he toyed with Sasuke and could have killed him if he wantted too, on multiple ocasions, the same goes to Naruto, and Kakashi. And let's not forget that Sasuke only "defeated" him, because Itachi wantted to die, he prepared everything for that moment, all worked according to his plan.

He easly defeated Kabuto, who had Orochimaro's chakra and abillities and toke them to the next level.

And how did he died the second time?...oh that's right, AGAIN he let his opponent win, which apparently it's the only way to beat Itachi, it's if he wants to lose.
