Is Zack Snyader DC's savior ?

After the reveal of Batman V Superman comic con trailer, and seeing that DC and Warner Bros

is putting everything in this movie, a question comes to mind:

Is Zack Snyader the directer that DC and Warner Bros are looking for ?

Is he the one who can make the DC movies go head to head with the Marvel movies ?

My opinion is yes he is.

The trailer shows that Snyder is serious and has or is doing his research, and that Warner, DC, and

Snyder are working together and taking this seriously and are planing to make this a movie for comic

fans and average viewers, and the fact that the movie is to some extinct based on the Dark Knight

Returns show this.

This is my opinion, what is yours ?

It's just a trailer

I dont know he definetly is steering this thing and I do like the tone, but alot of people dont like the direction because it isnt very appriate for children. We will have to wait and see how people respond. I personally love it.

Savior for what? DC has been doing fine. It's not like they've been going through director after director for any of the DCEU movies. I don't see why anyone thought DC could deliver just as well, if not better than Marvel. Just because Marvel had a head start?

Personally, I don't much care for the Dark Knight influences, but meh.

He's good at what he does. Savior implies DC needed saving which they didn't, in my opinion.

Technically Nolan is. Batman had a bad reputation from Joel Schumaker and Superman was toast for a while because of superman Returns. The Dark Knight trilogy paved the way for the DCCU and superhero action films as a whole in the modern times.

@mister_x_1: Honestly your acting as if Marvel are so far ahead that DC need a miracle to catch them. DC has made to many great movies to be worried about what Marvel are doing. Marvel have had a few years head start and man of Steel was a great film to kick-off the DC Universe (I am really not a Superman fan but that film made me like him that bit more)

He certainly has the opportunity to be. But its just a trailer.

I thought the Age of Ultron trailer was unbelievable, but found the movie underwhelming to say the least.

I was unimpressed by GOTG trailers, and thought the movie was awesome.

This movie can go many different ways.

Zack Snyder and Christopher Nolan

Nolan is Batman's saviour. Snyder is Superman's saviour. And with him being Supermans saviour, who has made the DCEU possible Snyder sort of is the overall saviour if Batman v Superman delivers.

h2h with Marvel? Neither company is trying to go h2h with the other. They purposely move their major releases so they are at least a month a part. They really aren't in competition with each other and as I said yesterday, it actually is good for the genre as a whole imo for them both to be putting out quality movies. It creates buzz around cbm's and makes people think more highly of the genre in general when either studio puts out a good film. The better the movies the more people who will be brought into the genre which helps both studios(along with Fox) in the long run. A lot of people who watch cbm's don't even know which studio owns which characters. A funny story is that when New World bought Marvel in the late 80's the president of New World thought they were about to start making Superman and Batman movies. It wasn't until after they bought Marvel that he learned otherwise.

Savior of what? As far as I can tell, he made a good comic book movie (Watchmen) and one mediocre comic book movie (MoS) for DC.

Ha *smh* I don't know about being a "savior", but his abilitiy to put together great action scenes and his eye for epic cinematic visuals make him taylor made for any comicbook movie...be it with WB/DC, MARVEL Studios or whoever he's directing for.

A false god is more like it. He has a talent for crafting exciting action sequences, but his storytelling ability leaves much to be desired. DC wasn't in a bad place before he came along anyway.
