Is Watchmen in your top ten CBMs?

Nope.

Not entirely sure, by all means... I did watch the movie when I was younger, and I hated it... but, again, I was younger and couldn't appreciate strong storytelling, so - dunno, I'll rewatch it sometime.

I loved it. I don't get the mixed reactions for it. My favorite CBM's go in order like this:

yes, prob around #6 or 7 for me but I am not a fan of most of the 90's superhero movies, any of the spidermans or new supermans. I think it did a great job of being a super hero movie but at the same time not feeling like a super hero movie which is something very few comic book movies have ever accomplished though its more understandable given the source material and the fact that they didn't need to hold anything back in case they felt like doing a sequel. It dragged a bit in places but overall was pretty good imo.

Horrible cast, Tales of the Black Freighter was a separated movie (for me, it was a very important part of Watchmen) and they changed the ending. Didn't like it.

Same here, seen it when I was young and hated it, mainly the nude scenes and whatnot, but now I love the movie. I would have it as #3.

I think Watchmen is an outstanding movie, and I actually loved how closely it followed the original comic (by the way one of my top 3 favorite comics of all time) and thought that it was perfectly executed.

No. I feel like the narrative of the graphic novel didn't translate well to the movie. I appreciate what it tried to do, but I personally don't enjoy at as much as most comic book fans.

Well actually Watchmen is my number 2, I just thought saying top 3 sounded better. The only reason it isn't my favorite is cuz my favorite is New Avengers: Breakout. I like that one the best A) cuz I actually think its really good and B) cuz its the book that got me into comics when I was like 12

@drfate: It's not what most people would consider the greatest comic of all time, I just like it a lot for sentimental reasons I guess. But it is actually extremely underrated IMO.
