Not really.
He recently got his arm chopped off, lost right to his hammer and gave away his name to a randomer. So in all consideration, he is getting pummeled by his writers pretty damn effing hard right now, lol.
Thor has always had lukewarm popularity, his fans of course adore him but I think a lot of new readers can get a bit offput by his respective universe (aka a lot of people dont give a damn about the 9 realms and mythology lore). Which is fine.
His feats are fine in my eyes considering his character and place in the Marvel universe. If you dont like seeing a planet buster doing his own thing, no one is forcing you to read his adventures if you prefer more grounded characters.
And yeah he sometimes is prone to getting nerfed during some events because there are times he technically could solo the opposition. But that's nothing new in comics...powerhouses often get the shaft during events so that others can get their chance to shine. No problem here either.
Eitherway that thread is currently irrelevant. Thor Odinson got super nerfed and lost his title, with an unknown woman who took his hammer/powers.
