Is there an indicator on a user's profile...

To show if he/she has been banned permanently from this site? It could be useful.

There is, but it's something only mods can see. A red banner appears around the user's av at all times.

Yes, that's the one :) That way we can see while browsing the forums whether users are banned or not. Plus if you go on their actual profile, there will be a note to say they are banned and for how long.

So in other words Mods know all.

@bumpyboo: Oh, and there was a user named Saiyan_God_Max that reportedly got banned, but his avatar still shows normally. Is that what only the mods can see, the red color?

And if so, why can't regular users see it? It will prevent us from making the mistake of thinking that they still come online. The MVC forum does it when a user is permanently banned.

If you want to know an easy way to know if someone is ban or not, go to their profile and try and post a comment to their wall. If the post goes threw they're good, if not they are banned.

@iamoptimusprime: I had a look for you, and that account doesn't appear to be banned. As for why regular users can't see it, I have absolutely no idea. Haven't been a mod very long though :)

@iamoptimusprime: here's a tip for us normal users if the account is banned or not: if you can't post on said user's wall, he/she is more likely to be banned.

Also, the list of Moderators seems to just display regular users if I click on it.

@iamoptimusprime: Agh, yeah, those lists have been buggy for a while now. We also used to have a pinned thread pointing out who mods were, with info on what time zone each of us is in and what areas we are best in (i.e. battles, forums, wiki and whatnot). We could really use something like that again :/

Well that's not right, mate, no one should be treated as hostile when they're just asking questions. No excuse for that really, it's not hard to just be civil with people and not have a stick up your @ss ;)

@iamoptimusprime: you might want to check your computer/browser for malware, looking at post #13 it is injecting code into your post, I've seen this before, I think it is DuckDuckGo a search plugin that does ad targeting and injection (it modifies how you see web pages).

I found it, and it was an extension on Firefox, and it had DDG on it. I have deleted it now. Thanks for the tip.

You know how if you hover your mouse over your own icon at the top right of any page, you get a dropdown menu? There should be two "A"'s at the bottom: one on black, one on white. Click the black one :)
