is the sentry dead?

Hey guys I'm new to comics and um this character really appeals to me. But I read somewhere online that he's dead.

Also I've noticed a lot on this site that people tend to hate the character, why?

If he is dead can you tell me how he died and if he's alive can you tell me some comics he's currently in to read?

He's alive in Uncanny Avengers.

Marvel just had to revive him.

Sentry killing Molecule Man and tearing Ares in half were enough to made me a Reynolds hater and I was happy when he was freaking chopped. He's still technically dead, he's just revived in a walking dead state. And he already pissed me off. I won't give away what he does in Uncanny X-Men, but let's just say I hope they kill his a** off for good again.

He's back as a horseman of apocalypse.
