Is the new Adam Warlock as powerful as the Magus?

Is the New(est) 616 Adam Warlock basically a good version of the Magus, so closer to Thanos level; able to best him.

Well in theory at least; there's no power-difference between the two "versions". The change is in the psyche not physicals unless we count the skin change from golden to purple as physical change.

@sinikettu: Magus has bested Thanos a few times. Toe to toe he's been shown as his equal and occasionally his superior. Most people consider Adam below Thor. But this new one has 1-shotted Surfer, albeit from behind

The in theory references to the difference between Adams and as far as I know he should be as strong as before, though I'm admittedly I'm a bit hazy about his after Cancerverse-appearances but just the same don't recall much difference to DNA-era.

Wait, there is a new Adam Warlock?

I don't think he's shown anything to say he's superior besides Thanos's comments. He's more powerful than the 616 Warlock, so if (an most likely when) he goes Magus, that Magus will probably be superior. Plus there has been a change in his powerset anyway since revived from death. Usual metamorphosis. Infinity Relativity will probably tell us more once it's released.

In Infinity Revelation, Adam Warlock was revived and then killed by Alternate Universe Adam Warlock and took his place.

@supermanwithatan01: That version of Mar-Vell was really powerful, but a little inconsistent for him to one shot the Magus or the Surfer but be easily defeated by Thanos

Magus didn't die though, just like Warlock he reformed in his cocoon to be reborn

@supermanwithatan01: To be fair, Thanos was the avatar of Death at the time and Lord Mar-Vell was the leader of the Cancerverse, who was attempting to kill Death. Only Thanos had the power to kill anything in the Cancerverse.

@supermanwithatan01: Sorry never got a notification. Thanos was not more powerful than the first Magus or Infinity War Magus. By ABC logic, Avatar of Death Thanos would be more powerful than the Thanos Imperative Magus since Mar-Vell beat him easily and Thanos beat Mar-Vell easily.
