Is Sub-mariner good or bad?
Is Sub-mariner good or bad?
likeable with good writers. easy route of douche with bad writers. examples bad avx. good recent issue of avengers 29. it was such a good representation of him. really well thought out and represented.
Pepole are pretty stupid when they say he's a douche like it's a bad thing.
- Thats the way he's meant to be
- Not every character has to be a nice to be interesting

He can be either depending on what he wants to accomplish, he'll always be up to saving Atlantis though.

Thanks for that...
1 - I know he is meant to be that way; doesn't mean I have to like him
2- true, still doesn't make him less of a douche. There are several loveable ones that I enjoy, Namor is no where near them
Him being a jerk, is not the reason I don't like him that much.Actually it's a part of his appeal
Idk I found Aquaman first.
Tone down the prev a bit lol
I don't think he's either, he just is. he kinda just follows his whims mostly. He's arrogant, egotistical, abides by a strange sense of morals, and does what he pleases. I think he is one of the most realistically portrayed characters out there.
Neither. Namor does as Namor pleases. If Namor feels something is wrong whether it is a hero or villain doing it, he will do what he sees as the right answer. He has threatened the surface world before yet he has fought alongside Captain America in wars. Namor was the only member of the Illuminati that didn't think Hulk should have been fired away because he was an ally and they weren't attempting to try and cure Banner to the best of their abilities. Namor decided to side with Scott Summers out of respect since Cyclops rejected the idea that the fears of a mob should govern their destiny and that 200 mutants were declaring against the United States. He said "There are those who would stand with the many against the few. But Namor will never be one of them."
Namor is a king first, friend second. Despite being a d-bag he has a lot of honor (unless matters pertain to the signature flounder pounder of course) to him and never let traditional good guy or bad guy brand him.
He's always been one my favorite, despite his mental issues, which I'm sure everyone here has dealt with through friends or family. The guy is prideful and full of more honor than most heroes.
@nightwing737: He is a good king but he seriously needs to control his temper. And he never should have fought against Cap in AvX considering that they fought together in the Invaders. He needs to tone down his arrogance and ego, seriously.
Aquman talks to fish.
Namor sues the entire human race , makes out with Sue Richards , moves the earth when he gets it on and pimp slaps mayors.
He rides the line between arrogant anti-hero, and sympathetic borderline villain. It really depends on what situation he is thrown into as well as what other characters are involved.
A dick
Namor's sort of an arrogant, mostly-neutral leader of Atlantis. He'll do what is best first for his people, then for everyone else.
@amonfire1776: as a hero? Nah since he is an anti-hero, sometimes villain. As a character? Preferences.
He was running around murdering alternate versions of Reed Richards out of spite, then boasted about the time he killed thousands of Wakandans.
He's a villain, he's just not important or relevant enough for writers to acknowledge the aforementioned events in any meaningful way.
