Is Reed the smartest man in the Marvel Universe?

Out of heroes OR villains. I can't think of anyone who comes close.

Apparently Val is smarter, but as far as adults go, is there anyone smarter (overall) than Reed?

Tony Stark, Hank Pym, and Bruce Banner could also be mentioned-especially if you take into consideration the specific field that they work in.

I would say t'challa only because he's more versitile with reed right besides him.

Reed is definitely one of the best prep master along side, Strange, Thanos, Doom, and Warlock. Overall though? No idea.

Smartest human probably. Although there are certainly a few that at least come close. Nathaniel Reed, Hank Pym, Bruce Banner, Doom.

Guys like The Leader and the High Evolutionary who have evolved beyond human intelligence should be smarter in theory.

Thanos and cosmic beings like Galactus may have comparable or even greater intelligence.

Well the fact that he knows every fighting style in the world, masters in multiple different sciences and is a genius inventor himself might suggest that.

Being a master of fighting styles isn't comparable to all that ridiculous "science" Reed is off doing, though. And what sciences is he more established in than Reed? What inventions does he have that are greater than Reed's? I can hardly even comprehend what Reed is doing most of the time because its so advanced. He's always traversing some dimension or meeting up with multiple versions of himself in the multiverse to find new ways to save every universe imaginable.

I'm not saying T'Challa isn't intelligent. I'm just saying I haven't seen him do anything even near to that. Haven't heard of it either. I'm not an expert on either character, though.

I would say that Reed and Doom are the top two.

It's a defining aspect of the character. Others have referred to him when faced with difficulties to indicate the bleakness of their predicament. As in, Reed isn't available to help type thing.

well bp does have a lot of feats to name but they aren't comparable simply because reed is an explorer/scientist and B.P is the exact opposite...he is an Defender/fighter/scientist. So when you said "overall" i thought you meant who knows more, not who'd win in a science convention. (witch reed would dominate B.T.W)

Reed is the smartest human, Thanos is the smartest being in the universe

@thorson Amadeus Cho isn't smarter than Reed. He's pretty much on the end of the list.

Note, Amadeus Cho is the seventh smartest person on Earth.

I dunno if he's the smartest human being but he's definitely smarter than DOOM. One could argue about him and Pym because I see Pym as having a bigger imagination but Reed being more knowledgeable.

Stark has more versatile with his ingeniousness.

The only think Doom beats Reed in is in knowing magic.
