Is Quicksilver always so cocky?

It kinda feels like he is always so arrogant and cocky...don't know about comics but everywhere I have seen Pietro is always the smart ass..and I have feeling the same will be shown in the AoU movie...Is the character same in comics?

lol, i kinda hate him already. i wish i hadnt seen what seems like trailer #253467 for this movie. I might have liked him otherwise in the movie. Now Im going into the movie not liking him. Hopefully he wins me over.
