Is Military Intervention In Other Countries Ever Right?
yeah, America as well as the rest of Europe should have gone in to Germany pre-Holocaust. in-action or lack of action has negative consequences too.
@bumpyboo: great quote
@jonny_anonymous: It always comes to mind when the subject comes up :) If you can help someone, you should. Never know when you might be in the same position after all.
@bruxae: what would you class a overkill?
Yes but depending on the reasons. For example, WWI and WWII were entirely justified, if anything intervention should have taken place earlier.
well from a politician's stand point if it is violence against the greater good, or if it would some how affect the world negatively than it is justified
If there had been no American intervention in WW2, the Nazis would have won.
Also don't be hypocritical. No war is ever justified. The Germans who lost suffered a terrible fate.The mass rape of Berlin was the biggest in history IIRC.
War is something dependant on perception. So if you are American , and you attack another country, "you" may feel justified but they certainly won't .But that doesn't matter.Its your opinion that matters .Justification and human rights and all that crap are moot points in a war.I suggest if your country joins a war you should support it rather thanbitch endlessly about human rights and shit which is one of the reasons America lost in Vietnam when they clearly would have won with their superior numbers and tech but for flowery hippies protesting out on the streets.
Justification is a moot point in war.
Its hard to say, I really wish US troops weren't in other countries, we could be using that money for some actual good, but if we leave things will only be worst. What do you think N. Korea would do if we left S. Korea?
"Peace cannot be achieved through violence, it can only be attained through understanding."

I don't really agree with that quote
