@kingwillie: No he's not. He's supposed to be half, since his father is. Even then, the New 52 have some differences in changes and appearances. So we don't know whether he's mixed with Mexican or not.

Pre-52, his estranged biological father was a Mexican national. So he was half. In the New 52 it's become a little more ambiguous.

Well, since Mexican is a nationality and not a race, where was he born? In the U.S. simply being born on American soil makes you an American. I don't think that's the case in old Mexico though.
