is Jim Lee's Wildcats team a nod to Alan Davis' ClanDestine?

I love Alan Davis stories and characters. I love Jim Lee's Characters as well. But i was reading a Clan Destine book the other day and I realized some MAJOR similarities.

(I still think Marvels should do something with Clan Destine. The concept was awesome!)

Here are the similarities in characters:

grace Destine and Lord Emp - Both extremely long lived, old, short and extremely powerful beings

cuckoo and voodoo - both possess psychic abilities

Argent and warblade - both have can create living malleable bladed weapons

Wallop and Maul - Both Increase their sizes and strengths and loses intellect or cognitive reasoning skills (and have a different hue other than normal skin colors when they grow)

Anyone sees any similarities?

Very interesting. I always thought that Jacob Marlowe/Emp was partially based on Jacob Kurtzberg/Jack Kirby.

Wait, ClanDestine debuted in 1994, two years after WildC.A.T.s started.

So, if anything, Alan Davis was inspired by Jim Lee's creations.
