I know most people hate fanboy's,so the question is....Is it WRONG to be a fanboy?
Is it wrong being a fanboy?
@awesam: AMEN! *rips shirt off*
Okay....Are all these users with this Spiderman picture 1 guy, or is it a very common picture?
LOL I was wondering that myself
I think the original was vintage_spiderman but he's had a few alts

The Spiderman was the default icon after the reboot.
I will reach as far as I can about any topic of debate regarding my favorite characters, until I see irrefutable proof that I'm wrong.
If it's a subjective topic, you're a hater for disagreeing with me.

oh, that makes more sense.
@laflux is a Spider nut hugger.
I don't think it's necessarily wrong, but I'm not that kind of fan myself. I don't like the close minded fanboy mentality.
Not really, that is what make debating fun. It's no fun when somebody gives up to easily but if your going to keep arguing a point you need to be logical and accept when you loose a point
It depends on your willingness to keep an open mind and if you can accept when your favorite character loses.
Not really as long as you're not TOO annoying with it. It can lead to some irrational debate and discussions but I consider all of that to be part of the fun
Only if you are for one of the following
- Batman
- Storm
- Flash (Mostly Wally)
- Pre 52 Wonder Woman
- DeadPool (You know the Fans that read a few panels online and never a full comic)
We're all fanboys in a way, the good fans just know how to control it and look at things objectively while still debating.

*cough* Spiderman takes Wolverine 9/10 *cough*
;)
It's all in the timing. You've got to be able to switch the fanboy on and off, and at the right times.
Yup
Maybe it's just me but I don't like debating and arguing about characters. I like the characters I like because of certain storylines, creative teams or personality traits. Who the character can take in a fight is kinda the least interesting thing for me.

You're officially one of the best in the world!

Add Hulk and we agree!

Thank you for posting these words of wisdom.

I may not try to kill you anymore just for saying that.

Storm is goddess!
@timelordscience: Glad to know someone feels the same way. I was being goaded into a debate a few weeks ago and told the person pretty much the same thing. He shot me a look like I was crazy, shrugged his shoulders and with hesitation in his voice said "Well...you like what you like...I guess".

Different strokes for different folks I guess. Seeing whom wins isn't why I like a character, but it can be a fun past time.
It depends, there are two types of fanboys I encounter, the first is the one that is a die hard fanboy and argues with a certain mix of arrogance and ignorance that it just makes talking to them rather painful, it is a bad thing to be one of those. The second type is die hard fan that actually reads and is knowledgeable about their favorite character, which effectively gives them a lot more ammo to use than someone who has the "normal" amount of knowledge about the opposition, it is perfectly okay to be that.
Yes and no.
