Is Frieza a male or female?

Ok, I'm pretty sure Frieza is a male, however in the dbz anime when vegeta is healed after zarbon almost kills him, vegeta references Frieza as a she.....but then later on In the show they reference Frieza as a male.... It's most likely an error from vegetas line....anyways can someone Clear this up for me please!

I remember reading that Frieza is a male but is oft referred to as a female in japanese due to feminine qualities or something.

He is male. Despite he sounds female in the English dub.

I believe he's male. Cooler if I remember referred to him as his brother in the film.

It's a male... His Japanese voice is a lot more male than his Pre-Kai redub English voice from Funimation.

Frieza is a male however his voice actor is female if I recall..His voice actress also did the voice for that other anime. Yu yu Hakusho or whatever it was called..She was that little old lady

So after Dragonball, Goku stops feeling everyone up to be sure of the gender?

@gambit474: Yes, Frieza's voice actor during the original Funimation dub was Linda Young. Hence why Americans thought Frieza was a woman. Linda Young is also famous for being the voice of Genkai in Yu Yu Hakusho. When Kai came out in the States, Sabat cast Christopher Ayres instead to keep things more in line with the original Japanese.
