Is DC making Flash gay in the DCCU!?

Could the casting of Grant Gustin been a foreshadowing. Many wondered why WB chose such a boyish looking, not as masculine Guy to play Flash. I still remember how I felt the day he casting was revealed. DISAPPOINTED!

When DC cast Ezra Miller like many I had no idea who he was so I googled him. The first picture I saw had him in make up with his hair fixed like a woman. He also plays a lot of gay characters in his films. And thought to my self... is the Flash gay? So now we have two questionable Flash.

Ezra Miller is openly gay tho. And certainly looks it! I could DC doing this in an attempt to get the modern GA on board. Has anyone else noticed how drastically Zach has already changed the League? Batman is scruffy, retired, brute that's stands taller than Superman. Superman is a weird looking dude that's pretty much the shortest guy on team after Cyborg gets in mech costume. WW is a skinny Israeli girl with brown eyes. Aquaman is a scar face, dark haired brute that's bigger and taller than everyone else on the team. And well... GL is rumored to be a woman...who's not even a GL! At this point an openly gay Flash wouldn't seem like stretch. And he would fit right in with DCs goal which is to modernize these characters for the new GA.

So what do u guys think? Could this be DC next move

Either way, just wait until the movie is out. People complain about casting constantly before something is released and change their minds after they see it. I'm sure it'll work out in the end.

I didn't like the casting if Ezra Miller either. But it doesn't mean that Flash will be gay.

And it doesn't mean that niw we can create some homophobic threads.

The art of acting is about pretending to be something your not. The sexual orientation of the actor has nothing to do with the sexual orientation of the character.

Ian f*cking McKellen is gay too and guess what? He is an incredible actor and has given us legendary roles in Gandolf and Magneto. This is 2014, not 1914. Wake the f*ck up.

The actor, who is openly homosexual and done homosexual characters in movies, does nothing to indicate that The Flash will be gay.

Besides, most of the "changes" have some sort of base to them. Batman is being based off his Dark Knight design, which had him a lot beefier. Superman doesn't look weird to me, so that's a personal opinion, Wonder Woman is skinny...I don't see the point of pointing that out. As for Aquaman, that is a pretty big leap, but hey. It's a cool leap, nonetheless, in my opinion. As for the GL thing, I'm assuming you're speaking of Power Ring. I doubt they'll go that route, but if they did do a woman, she'd be a lantern. There are plenty of female lanterns they could use or it would be nothing to create a new one.

GL are suposed to rumors and Jessica Cruz is a Power Ring and not Green Lantern which doesnt make sense in terms of plot.

I never saw Wolverine sing on movies, Hugh Jackman did lot of musicals before X-Men, so why Wolverine doesnt start to sing and dance on movies.

Ellen Page is LGBT actress, does mean also that Kitty Pride is also LGBT characther on movies?

@vitalius: To be fair, Ellen Page didn't come out until earlier this year.

But to add to this, I've heard so many complaints against Henry Cavill before Man of Steel because he was British. I don't see this criticism anywhere anymore.

Am I excited about the casting no (mainly because I haven't seen anything he's been in) but gay or not he's and actor so he'll be doing just that..ACTING. I doubt they'd make the character gay if they did I'd be a bit peeved though.

It was an exemple. For Scarlett Johansson is now type cast as bad ass characther actress (Black Widow,Lucy and she was cast for Ghost in the shell) but doesnt mean that she only going to those roles forever. Plus there is more characthers with gay background.

It's one thing to suggest a character is going to be gay just because he's being played by a gay actor, but you try to connect it with the show who's character is obviously not gay what with the flirtation between Felicity and the crush on Iris. Then you go on to call Superman a "weird looking dude", the other half brutes, and saying their making GL a woman without any sort of source as to where you even pulled that theory.

If this was your first topic I would over look it but you've done quite a few dubious threads that seem to be made simply to get a rise out of people.

Side note. More people need to see We Need to Talk About Kevin and Perks of Being a Wallflower. You will have zero doubts about the casting afterwards. Ezra is an awesome actor with terrific range.

I've also been championing Brie Larson to play someone. She is unbelievable. Ever seen Short Term 12? my god. Her smaller role in The Spectacular Now was also awesome (as was Miles Teller in that movie btw).

Brie Larson ....i didnt know she had the assets she does. Very well hidden.
